if so this is from the manual good to have. I got this info for my 95 ext, it should all be the same, but no garuntee
"A single flash on the LED indicates that power is getting to the ECU and it is working. If you do not see any flash the problem may be a low battery, a malfunctioning ignition switch or emergency shut off switch, throttle monitor switch (or thether switch), blown 3 amp fuse, or a faulty wiring harness.
If codes are present on the LED, the first will always be a long flash, followed by a series of flashes. Count the number of flashes and refer to following chart. NOTE: You can have more than 1 code.
Long, short = open or short circuit in throttle position sensor
Long, short, short, short = open or short circuit in intake air temp sensor
Long, short, short, short, short = open or short circuit in water temp sensor
Long, (5 shorts) = open or short circuit in atmospheric pressure sensor in ECU
Long, Long, short = Failure in #1 injector control circuit in ECU, or open or short circuit in #1 injectoror its lead wire. Magneto Side
Long, Long, short, short = Failure in #2 injector control circuit in ECU, or open or short circuit in #2 injectoror its lead wire. PTO Side
(4 Longs), short = Open or short circuit in the injection sensor
(4 longs), short, short = open or short circuit in the timing sensor"
