Here you have the regulations for import from a non-EU country:
http://www.vv.se/templates/page3____3367.aspx

Here are the recommended contacts at Vägverket and I suggest you ask about how to import a vehicle from a "third country" as the term is:
Telephone 0771-119 119
Text telephone 0243-750 90

Customer services
0771-14 15 16 for questions about vehicles

Good luck with your import! :)

I couldn't find much info about importing a snowmobile from non EU-country.All the info is about a vihicles from EU-country.

The sled that I 'd like to get cost 6700 Euro and it's in Bulgaria.Does anybody know whether it's worth it to import it here in Sweden after I have to pay all the charges. They sell it cheap but still it's in Bulgaria
Can anyone help me with this?
PS:I'll try calling those phone numbers in Monday

The problem is that you won't be abel to register it in Sweden because you are going to need a certificat from Yamaha Sweden which shows that your machine is identical to thoes sold in Sweden and they refuses to wright them out.

By the way the price isn't all that great ether because 6700 € is about 60.000 SEK + transportation and then you have to pay 3% toll and then another 25% sales taxes= ~77.000 Sek
and that's no bargin.

Are you going to import it from Bulgaria?
Last year it were some idiots who tried to sell sleds and quadracers from Portugal. It was of course bluff, and I hope no one sent money over to that bluffcompany. So be careful, really careful!
And, Is there enough snow in Bulgaria to use sleds??

Why buy a sled in Bulgaria that you won't be able to register and for a price that's almost the same as one bought here in Sweden.

I don't know

It was a good sled, you know

I was just thinking...

We'll see...
I might get back the VAT which is around 1000 Euro and then it's worth it.
But have not decided yet

That's why I talked in this forum..

Thank you guys for all the info ...

9000 km on the sled, whoa its been round and back again.Maybe its wrong in the ad ?. Sure you cant find a sled in the same price range in Sweden, you would save your self from lots of trouble.
