Och Här kommer en till ride report:
We went out this past Sat in Wyoming and I'm even more impressed with this sled the more I ride it.
I feel like this motor just begs to be opened up and it screams from idle to 8000 almost instantly! I'm on clicker 2 and even at 9500 feet it still is holding right on at 8000 rpms and keeps pulling in 3 feet of snow.
I've said it before and I'm going to say it again, this is hands down the funnest sled I've ever rode. It has warped my mind because all I can think about is how bad I want to get back on it and go find some untouched snow.
Just to give you an idea of the deep snow abilities of this machine we had come to the bottom of a basin with trees surrounding the bottom, so I took off and started to gain elevation as I picked my way through the trees. I only had to give it slight throttle pulls as I went up through the trees. My 15 Pro was there and the young kid on that sled had to be giving that sled the goose just to get to where we were, all 3 if us commented on how much less effort the 2 850's took compared to the pro!
Thank you Ski Doo for building such a fun machine!
I have spent 5 minutes on a 174 so I cannot compare the two.
I do know that this sled is not losing traction. When you are cutting a side Hill and you want to go straight up the mountain this sled pulls on your arms the second you give it full throttle. The bottom end is so strong that you have to be ready or otherwise you can't hang on.
Everyone keeps talking about how responsive this sled is because in my opinion this is the most responsive sled especially on the bottom end. This is where all 3 of my pros lacked but not this sled, you have to have throttle control because going full throttle can get you off Balance if you are not ready.
That's why I'm here giving my feedback to those that have one or are thinking about getting one.
I love snowmobiling but this sled has made it funner for me then I thought sledding could ever get and it don't even have a turbo on it. It is that much fun and a joy to ride.
The one thing I always said riding Polaris is I wish I could put a Ski Doo 800 in a Polaris chassis, well the people at Ski Doo did it for me. Just the one good ride we had I had more confidence that the chassis and motor would get me to where I wanted to go. I hated the XM chassis and was willing to give up horsepower with Polaris then ride the XM but now I get exactly what I want from Ski Doo right out of the crate.
The only thing better about what they've done here is now Polaris gets to answer back and I hope it's as good as this sled because we as the user win!
